With the Tamalpa youth movement placing 4 Submasters in the Top Ten, TCRS for 2007 drew to a close as Andy Valla and Amy Sonstein wrapped up their overall point titles for the season. Mark McManus and Tammy Gonzalez were the individual victors, distinguishing them as official Club Champions at the 5-K distance. Tammy held off a tenacious Linda Sharp by a scant few seconds, both of them having raced the PA Cross Country the day before. Tammy has had a spectacular season and is likely leading the Masters women to the PA title for this year. Jason Jacobson held off the fast-closing Tom Lyons and Brad O'Brien for runner-up among the men. Heidi, Lillie, Jay, Anitra, David, Horst, Mike, Steve, Phil and friends handled everything with their usual proficiency. The weather was cool and clear, and post-race chatter indicated that TCRS may just give it a go again in 2008. - Jim Myers
