When: Sunday April 24th, Sunday May 1st, Sunday May 8th, Sunday May 15th, Sunday May 22nd
Where: College of Marin Track Kentfield
Time: 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Who: Youth ages 3-13
What: Local high school runners & Tamalpa runners will coach runners to jump, sprint, throw, and train for their fastest mile in 5 weeks. Last practice is a track meet to see how fast you can run a mile!
How:
10:00-10:15 – Runners warm up with 1-2 laps on the track followed by stretching in groups based on their age
10:15-10:45 – Station Activities to practice Skills
Throwing Station
Jumping Station
Sprinting Station
Hurdles Station
10:45-11:10 – Intervals and practice training for the mile
Sprints based on age and ability
11:10-11:15 – Students earn feet for miles won & stretch
Cost: $50 for 1 child, $75 for 2 children, $90 for 3 children, and $100 for 4 children – also option to attend free if that is best for your family

All Marin County Public Health & Safety Protocols will be followed for the Bobcats running program. If athletes are not feeling well or have a fever or cold like symptoms they should not attend the weekend practices. This is also included on the sign up forms.

Volunteer Opportunity: Many adults and local high school students enjoy running the events and
coaching the young students. This is really an opportunity to mentor and encourage and
be inspired by young people giving in their all. You don’t have to be a track and field expert.
