Eighth Annual Tamalpa Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving Morning, 9am. 6.5 miles (or shorter)

For the eighty year in a row (even including Covid years when we ran in masks), we will be meeting at Ross Commons, home of the Sunday morning run on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 28th at 9:oo am for a non-competitive run. Our traditional course has been up Shaver to five corners and down the Yolanda trail, with a few shorter deviations at Hidden Meadows. Join us for this Thanksgiving morning run before your giant feast, and then help yourself to a second portion of mashed potatoes and gravy guilt-free. So, pre-heat the oven, and slide that marinated bird in and join us at 9:00 am for our annual turkey trot. In the tradition of the Sunday morning run. This six mile run usually takes about an hour+, running at a casual, conversational level.

Or, if you happen to find your self in a more competitive mood and want to test your legs on a 10K course, there’s the annual Turkey Trot race at Indian Valley College. And finally, if you happen to find yourself waking up on the island paradise of Maui, join David Leipsic at Kapalua for a Thanksgiving Turkey Trot starting at the Ritz Carlton.
