Congratulations to all Tamalpa runners who ran the Headlands 50K on a beautiful, foggy Saturday, August. 24th. A special, Tamalpa Thank you to Wim and Gerda Van Dam for orchestrating such a classic, much-loved, Tamalpa tradition – and to the army of volunteers who helped stage this wonderful event.
The men’s team consisted of 6th place finisher Lon Freeman, 15th place
Phil Sanderson and 64th Place finisher Sergio Higareda and a
Female team of 19th place finisher Isabel Diaz, 55th place finisher
Anabela Diaz and 80th place finisher Jeri Howland. If we had one more
Woman run the 50K with a 2019 USATF Card we would have been able
to a mixed team with Breese White and Steve Jaber. Good job to all of
the Tamalpans who ran the 50K. The next event on the PAUSATF MUT
Grand Prix is the Headlands Hundred Mile race on Saturday, Sep 14, 2019.
If you plan to run that race, please get your 2019 USATF Card as a
Tamalpa Runner so that you can score for a Tamalpa Team.
