Tamalpa had a great turnout at the Stow Lake Stampede 5K on Sunday, 4/29/18. 13 Tamalpa Women and 15 Tamalpa Men ran and we were able to score 4 Women’s Teams and 4 Men’s Teams.
The Tamalpa Senior Women, Veteran Men and Super Veteran Men all took First Place; the Super Senior Men took Second Place. The Tamalpa Super Senior Women took Fourth Place; and the Tamalpa Masters Women, Senior Women’s B Team and Men’s Senior Team took Fifth Place. Verity Breen, Patti Shore and Liz Shortino took 2nd, 4th and 6th Places for the Women’s 50-54 Age Group; Eve Pell was the 1st Woman 80+ Finisher; Keith Duncan was the 3rd Male 60-64 Finisher; Steve Deschler, Steve Katz and Kevin Porter took 1st, 2nd and 4th Places for the Men’s 65-69 Age Group; Len Goldman, Don Porteous, Fred Martin and David McCormack took 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Place for the Men 70-74 Age Group; and Elmo Shropshire, Russ Kiernan and Bill Dodson took 1st, 2nd and 3rd Places for the Male 80+ Age Group. We had a small group of Tamalpa Runners who ran the Devil Mountain Mile of Truth today in Danville.
The next PAUSATF Road Race will be the Across the Bay 12k on Sunday, June 10, 2018. Hopefully we will have a strong Tamalpa turnout for that race.
