Bahia/Rush Creek ? miles
September 20th, 2009
84 Finishers: 61 men, 23 women

In some months, TCRS encounters a few glitches which arguably mar the proceedings a bit, such as foul weather or a stick mix-up. September at Rush Creek appeared to have no such glitches, certainly not with the weather, and the stick crew brought their A-game, which they almost always do. Mike Holland, as in years past, marked out a course that encompassed very scenic terrain, with good footing, plenty of ups and downs without over-doing it like some of our courses, and a final two-mile stretch which simply never seemed to end. The ultimate testament to the morning's success was how long everyone lingered afterwards, as it was a beautiful morning, and Nicole's coffee and donuts played no small part. Josh Babiak and Karen Steele were the days' victors, and it was noted that the first four finishers overall were in their early 20's, amplifying Tamalpa's resurgent youth movement.. - Jim Myers
