Course: This 3.8 mile run is fast and gently sloped. It's a perfect way to start the training for the 2014 racing season. We suggest you arrive early as you may need to park down the road a bit and walk up to the start. The long range weather forecast predicts sunny and 75 degrees (or drizzling and 45 degrees).
Directions - From Highway 101 near Mill Valley take Hwy. 1/Shoreline
offramp toward Mill Valley and Stinson Beach. Approximately 1/3 mile
from freeway, turn west on Tennessee Valley Road. Follow about 2 miles
to end and park.

The February 16th TCRS returns us to the roads, trails, hills and
vales of Indian Valley. This was a very popular course last year so
we will try to replicate it as much as possible. It's about 5 miles
with lots of variety. Good early training for the Dipsea.
Driving Directions: Exit Highway 101 at Ignacio Blvd. Proceed west
about 1.5 to 2 miles. We'll gather at the San Jose Middle School at
the intersection of Ignacio Blvd. and Sunset Parkway.

We haven't been to the Horse Hill/Alto Bowl area for years, but we
will reprise a great running event on March 9th. Expect hills, single
track and fire road, and some pavement for 4-5 miles of view-filled
effort. Could be a bit muddy, especially if the rains continue.
Driving Directions: From 101 take the East Blithedale exit. Go about
one half mile to Lomita Drive. Turn right. Go one half mile to Edna
Maguire School. The race starts here.

The May 18th TCRS will begin and end at O'Hair Park in Novato. This
park is at the intersection of Novato Boulevard and San Marin Drive
(near the high school). The run will be on dirt trail and bike path
and will take us out towards Stafford Lake. Some last minute course
finessing is currently occurring (by Mike) but the distance may be a
bit longer than what most TCRSers are used to.

The August 10, 2014 TCRS will be high in the hills above Marin City.
It's a rolling 5.5 mile dirt road run with one significant hill at the
turnaround. Great views of the Bay and the ocean.
Directions:Take the Marin City exit from HWY 101. Proceed west on
the main street in Marin City (Donahue Street) until it dead ends
about 1 mile from the freeway. Plenty of street parking.

Hamilton/Bel Marin Keys Wetlands |

The September 14 TCRS is a very flat and very fast 5.6 mile journey
along the recently opened trails of the restored Hamilton wetlands.
Almost all of it is on dirt, with excellent footing. We'll travel
along the marshes into the Bel Marin Key estuary, then back to
Hamilton via a little known single track trail. Lots of wildlife for
you birders.
The start point is at the Hamilton YMCA at Hangar No 3 on Hangar Road.

The October 5th TCRS is one of Tamalpans' favorite courses -- the Bahia wetlands. Lots of dirt, water views, easy rolling hills, and gentle on the legs. A
genuine 5 mile course.
Take the Atherton exit from Hwy 101. Go east about one half mile to
Bugeia Lane and turn left. Go about one mile to the top of the hill
at Laguna Vista. Plenty of street parking.
